Our Commitment to Privacy
O2 Environmental Pty Ltd (O2) is committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding the personal information that we collect, use, maintain, and disclose. This privacy standard protects the privacy of personal information in accordance with federal and state privacy laws, O2's contractual obligations, and our customers' and clients' expectations of privacy.

Collection of Information
O2 collects personal information by both direct and implied consent. Direct consent is information that clients/customers have provided to O2 through optional, voluntary submissions (such as online sign-up forms including e-newsletters, booking forms and 'email a friend' requests, participation in polls and surveys, direct requests for information).  Implied consent is information gathered through general business communications (emails, letters, networking activities).

The contact information gathered usually includes your name, employer, employment title, business address, business telephone number, and email address. We collect this information so that we may keep you informed about O2 and Industry updates and/or invite you to upcoming O2 events.  We consider this information private and limit how it is used and disclosed.

Sharing of Information
Use and disclosures of personal information, including disclosures to third parties, shall not occur unless the customer/client authorizes them or, O2 is required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or,  to protect the personal safety of our customers/clients or the public. Customers/clients may exercise the rights granted to them under this privacy policy free from any intimidating or retaliatory acts.

Use of Information
O2 uses information that customers/clients voluntarily provide in order to send out electronic newsletters, e-flyers and industry updates. We post newsletters to our clients on a quarterly basis, and occasionally send out special editions that might be of particular interest to our industry colleagues. 

Through the use of Google Analytics, O2 monitors user demographics and traffic patterns from our website and affiliated sites to enable us to continue to build a better service for our website users.  However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users.

When browsing any website, a text file called a "cookie" is normally inserted into the browser files of your computer. The cookie itself does not contain personal information although it will enable the website host to relate your use of the site to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. The only personal information a cookie can contain is information that you voluntarily supply yourself. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites.

You can refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you've set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies, you will receive the warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use the O2 website. However, you do need cookies to participate actively in blogs, forums, polling and surveys.

Online Security
Your privacy on the Internet is of the utmost importance to us. At O2, we want to make your experience online at and affiliated websites as satisfying and safe as possible.

O2 operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our customers.

Credit card information is not stored by O2, it is securely processed through an online merchant facility via an e-commerce/payment gateway provider.  These providers have their own high-level security and data protection policies.

Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18 without requesting parental consent.

Opt-out Policy and Restriction of Contact
Customers and Clients may opt-out of receiving mass communications (e-flyers, newsletters, postal mail) from O2 at any time, by emailing

 Access of Information
Under our privacy policy, you have the right to (upon request) see your contact and other information that we maintain about you. The description will be sent via postal mail which we believe to be the most secure method of communication. Further, we will respond to requests for updates or changes to your personal information (see section 10).
