Healthy Waterways SEQ - ESC Cost Benefit Analysis

O2 has been engaged by Healthy Waterways to prepare a 'business case' for the application of newly developed erosion and sediment control (ESC) design objectives to typical developments in Queensland during the construction phase.

The project objectives are as follows:
  • Case study examination of the costs and benefits associated with applying new ESC objectives to a range of typical development and infrastructure scenarios in Queensland.
  • Bring key stakeholders together in a 'scoping workshop' to agree on methodology for the case study assessment work (e.g. to determine which ESC design objectives should be adopted in the case studies, which factors should be included in the assessment, the number of cases and scenarios, the data to be used in the case studies, etc.).
  •  Undertake the assessments and write-up the results in the form of a 'business case', using the Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) business case as a model.
